For the concept of “Sankt Johann II” every picture motif appears twice: each on the front and on the reverse side of a printed sheet. By this means … the duplication unfolds itself in further multiplications throughout the page sequence… The work describes a closed circuit of reoccurrence, in which one image precedes another, but also follows another.
