„Song oft he open road“ entlehnt dem 1921 in deutscher Sprache erschienenen, mit expressionistischen Holzschnitten illustrierten Buch von Walt Whitman den Titel und benutzt es als Grundlage für ein neues Projekt. In dieser einhundert Jahre alten Ausgabe sind zwischen die Seiten eine Reihe  farbiger Papiere eingestreut, die  teilweise zufällige Wiederholungen ergeben. Der ursprüngliche Text und die Holzschnitte sind überdeckt, nur einige Fragmente sind noch als Spuren sichtbar. „Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,“ wie das Gedicht beginnt, mutet in der gegenwärtigen Situation zunehmender Distanzierung an wie ein sanfter romantisch-revolutionärer Aufruf zu vergessener Einfachheit und unmittelbarer Berührung.

"Song oft he open road" is taking the title from Walt Whitman's book, published in German in 1921, illustrated with expressionist woodcuts, and uses it as the basis for a new project. In this one-hundred-year-old edition, a series of colored papers are interspersed between the pages, sometimes resulting in random repetitions. The original text and woodcuts are obscured with just a few fragments still visible as traces. "Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road," as the poem begins, seems like a gentle romantic-revolutionary call to forgotten simplicity and immediate touch in the present situation of increasing distancing.
